HP Personal System Quality (PS Quality) is hiring quality engineering position in Chongqing. We are looking for people with proved record of working knowledge of Quality or Engineering (hardware or software). The job focuses on factory-to-field quality performance management, drives ODM partners to deliver better quality products with support from internal teams, communicate quality performance to respective management, program teams and business teams.
Responsibilities:
Work with team to develop, improve and implement ODM quality management process and tool;
Review and monitor quality metrics, drive ODM partners to work out improvement plan for quality issues/risks, provides tangible feedback based on results and root-cause analysis, implement solutions to improve product quality and minimize risk of failures.
Drive ODM partners to support field issue resolution and/or cost recovery;
Team work with internal stakeholders to achieve quality goals and projects;
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, statistics or equivalent.
PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, CQE, CRE or other Quality certification preferred
Typically, 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing, design or quality engineering
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced experience in engineering (hardware or software) or statistics: SPC, sampling plan, hypothesis, DOE…. etc.
Excellent analytical, statistical and problem solving skills ; a solid 8D methodology in the works
Evaluating, selecting, and creating forms of empirical and root-cause analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate compliance with quality standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, proven track record with management level report outs
Ability to effectively communicate quality architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
