構(gòu)建高水平、多層次的一流學(xué)科建設(shè)體系

學(xué)校圍繞“北京技術(shù)創(chuàng)新行動(dòng)計(jì)劃”等經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展重大需求，根據(jù)自身特色優(yōu)勢(shì)，重點(diǎn)布局“現(xiàn)代城市建設(shè)與環(huán)境工程”一流學(xué)科群，直接推動(dòng)核心學(xué)科、帶動(dòng)支撐學(xué)科和輻射學(xué)校其他主體學(xué)科，促進(jìn)學(xué)校學(xué)科建設(shè)水平的跨越式發(fā)展。通過學(xué)科交叉融合以及基礎(chǔ)學(xué)科、藝術(shù)、教育、經(jīng)管等人文社科類學(xué)科的深度協(xié)同，形成了“一流工科、優(yōu)勢(shì)理科、特色文管、精品藝術(shù)”的學(xué)科建設(shè)新格局。

科技創(chuàng)新服務(wù)國(guó)家首都重大戰(zhàn)略

學(xué)校秉持高水平科學(xué)研究支撐高質(zhì)量高等教育的科技工作理念，堅(jiān)持“協(xié)同創(chuàng)新、高端引領(lǐng)、服務(wù)北京”的科技發(fā)展方針，重視基礎(chǔ)研究、應(yīng)用研究和高新技術(shù)研發(fā)，大力推進(jìn)成果轉(zhuǎn)化，以扎實(shí)、有特色的科學(xué)研究穩(wěn)步推進(jìn)“十四五”建設(shè)發(fā)展。

大力建設(shè)一流師資隊(duì)伍

千秋基業(yè)，人才為本。學(xué)校緊緊圍繞實(shí)施人才強(qiáng)校、特色發(fā)展和開放辦學(xué)三大戰(zhàn)略，堅(jiān)持“強(qiáng)高端、優(yōu)結(jié)構(gòu)、重改革、增活力”的人才工作方針，構(gòu)建層次清晰、銜接緊密的校內(nèi)外人才引育體系，著力營(yíng)造適合人才成長(zhǎng)發(fā)展的制度環(huán)境，為青年教師的科研教學(xué)之路助力護(hù)航。截至目前，學(xué)校在職教職工3171人，其中專任教師2000人。

Guided by the major demands of Beijing’s economic and social development, and in light of its own characteristics and advantages, BJUT pursues the leapfrog development of its disciplines by placing a great emphasis on its world-class disciplinary cluster of Modern Urban Construction and Environmental Engineering, while strengthening painstakingly its core disciplines and supporting disciplines. Through the cross-disciplinary integration and collaboration, BJUT creates a new discipline layout featuring top engineering disciplines, preponderant science disciplines, distinctive humanities and management disciplines, and exquisite art disciplines.

Upholding the working philosophy of supporting high-quality higher education through high-level scientific research, and sticking to the development principle of “collaborative innovation, top-notch research, and serving Beijing”, BJUT attaches great importance to its fundamental research, applied research, high-tech R&D, and knowledge transfer, to steadily advance the university development.

Talent is the foundation of an ambitious cause. Guided by the university’s three development strategies including talent competitiveness, distinctive development, and open schooling, and sticking to the working principle of “strengthening high-level talent team, optimizing structure, focusing on reform, and boosting vitality”, BJUT builds a well-structured talent acquisition and training system and creates an institutional environment suitable for the growth and development of talents, thus providing great support for the young faculty in their scholarly research and teaching. Currently, BJUT has 3171 faculty and staff, including 2000 full-time faculty.
